DIY Okra Water Helps Improve Diabetes, Asthma Symptoms, Kidney Disease And More


Okra is a plant that we also know by the name of “bamya” or “lady’s finger”. It is a perennial flowering plant from the family of Malvacae. The origins of this vegetable plant is from Egypt, from the 12th century , and it has been grown in the tropical areas everywhere in the world. This plant has numerous benefits to our health and  a lot of different ways to prepare it. People don’t like to use it because of the “slimy” texture , but they will love it for sure if they actually know the benefits and how healthy this okra veggie is.

The benefits of the okra veggie
Okra has a great nutritional profile. There are 30 cal. in 100 grams of this veggie, 7.6 grams of carbs. , 3 grams of fibers, 2 grams of protein, 21mg of Vit.C and good amount of magnesium and folate. Okra is good for those ones with kidney diseases and liver damage because of its antioxidant properties. Blood sugar levels can be also reduced by the okra veggie. There are a lots of studies that claim that okra can fight depression, minimize asthma symptoms and can destroy breast cancer cells because  of the new type of lectin found in this vegetable plant.

The Okra water:
This healthy water is really easy to make and prepare because you will only need two okras, of course, fresh ones. Also you need a glass of water, where you will put two or three pieces of chopped okra. You should cut off the heads and tails before you chop the okra. The healthy water should be left overnight . You can drink it half an hour before breakfast.
